How the Christmas countdown works
The calculator counts the whole days between today and 25 December. Once Christmas has passed, the count automatically moves to next year's Christmas; with the "Year" menu you can look further ahead, for instance to see which weekday Christmas falls on in two years. The line with hours, minutes and seconds updates on its own.
Does Christmas always fall on the same date?
Yes: 25 December is a fixed date, so only the weekday changes. 24 December is Christmas Eve, 26 December is Boxing Day (St Stephen's Day) and 6 January, Epiphany, closes the holiday season.
Why the number matters
- Gifts and deliveries: the working days in the box are the ones that count for shipping and offices.
- Advent calendar: it starts on 1 December: if more than 24 days are left, Advent hasn't begun yet.
- Planning: trips, dinner, decorations: copy the sentence with the count and send it to the family chat.

How many working days are left?
The "Working days" box counts Monday to Friday only, without removing public holidays.
