How the countdown works
The big number is the whole days between today and the chosen date, today excluded: the day before the event "1 day" is left, on the day itself "It's today!" appears. If the date is in the past, the calculator tells you how many days have passed. The line with hours, minutes and seconds runs to midnight at the start of the date and updates on its own, using your device's clock.
What's in the box
- Weeks and days: the same number as whole weeks plus the remaining days.
- Hours: the days multiplied by 24.
- Working days: Monday to Friday, without removing public holidays.
- Today's day of the year: where we are in the year (1 = 1 January).

- Days until a holiday, an exam, a wedding, a deadline: enter the date.
- Days since 1 January, since an event, since the start of a diet: enter a past date.

Is today included in the count?
No: it counts the whole days left. If you want to include today, add 1.
Are public holidays removed from the working days?
No, only Saturdays and Sundays. Use "Days between two dates" and subtract holidays by hand if you need to.
Can I count the days since a past date?
Yes: enter a date before today and the calculator shows how many days have passed.
