How it works
From your date of birth the calculator takes the day and month and looks for the next time they come round: if this year's birthday has already passed, it counts down to next year's. On your birthday the result is "It's today!". Under the big number you can read the weekday and the age you'll turn; the line with hours, minutes and seconds updates on its own.
Born on 29 February?
In non-leap years 29 February doesn't exist: the calculator then counts down to 1 March, the day after 28 February, which is the most common convention.

- Party: the working days left are the ones you can use to book a venue and order the cake.
- Wish list: copy the sentence with the count and send it to whoever keeps asking "when is your birthday?".

No: the date stays in your browser and disappears when you close the page. Nothing is sent to a server.
