The Halloween countdown
Halloween is always on 31 October, the eve of All Saints' Day. The calculator counts the whole days left and shows the weekday: when the 31st falls on a Friday or Saturday, parties are busier; in Italy 1 November is a public holiday, which makes the night of trick-or-treating a little easier.
What to prepare, and when
- Costumes and decorations: order online keeping an eye on the working days left for deliveries.
- Pumpkins: carve them no more than 3–4 days ahead, or they spoil.
- School and office parties: often moved to the previous Friday when the 31st falls at the weekend.
